Abandoned Cart Recovery
Email customers who left items in their cart so you can recover the sale.
When a customer adds items to their basket but doesn't complete checkout within 24 hours, the basket is marked as abandoned. Storra automatically emails them a reminder with a one-click link back to their basket.
How it works
- Customer adds items to basket — captured automatically once they enter their email at checkout.
- If they leave before completing payment, the basket sits in Abandoned Carts with status "abandoned" after 24 hours.
- Storra sends a follow-up email with the basket contents and a link to resume.
- If they complete the purchase from the email, the abandoned cart row is closed and the order shows up normally.
Configure the email
Go to Followups. Edit the abandoned-cart template — subject line, body copy, optional discount code to include in the email. Variables like {{ customer_first_name }}, {{ basket_total }}, and {{ resume_url }} are available.
Reporting
The Abandoned Carts page shows recovery rate (recovered / sent), revenue recovered, and per-basket details so you can see which items abandon most often.
Disable
Toggle Send abandoned-cart emails off in Settings → Notifications if you don't want to send these. The basket still shows up in the dashboard for analytics.
